After you submit your proposal
We review your proposal to see:
- How the proposed class fits with our other offerings.
- If it will successfully attract students.
- If it's a fit with our community.
If we want to offer your class, we will send you a contract to review.

Payment
Most teachers get paid either:
- By the hour
- By the number of students
Some teachers choose to volunteer their time.
Class design
There is a great deal of flexibility in class design. Here are some general guidelines.
- Classes generally run between one and a half and two hours.
- You can teach a topic that lasts a single session or has multiple sessions.
- Youth classes can be offered after school, in the evening or on Saturday.
- Adult classes an be offered from:
- 6 to 9 p.m., Monday - Friday
- 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday
Class pricing
We decide what to charge for your class, based on:
- Instructor cost
- Operating and promotional costs
Promotion
- We promote all classes in our print catalog and on our website.
- Our print catalog is mailed to all households in the district three times a year.
